September 2012

Due to circumstances beyond our control, Tri-City Kart Club must discontinue all
racing operations at Showtime Speedway until further notice.

We were looking forward to a solid long term working relationship with
Showtime Speedway but sadly a practical agreement could not be met.

Our goal was to promote grassroots racing and to lay down a path for the
next generation of race car drivers at the track and beyond.

Many in the karting community are disappointed by this sudden turn of events
and our loyal racers will stand by Tri-City Kart Club with the hope of carrying
on the clubs 40+ year history.

We expect rumors to circulate but be assured the club has "NOT" folded.
If a solution can't be met then we're back to being a club without a track
and on hold.

We ask that you be respectful in your comments to
Showtime Speedway and Tri-City Kart Club on open media outlets.

Thank You for your support of Tri-City Kart Club.

If you have questions, please call>  Barry Fletcher or Harry Grossman

 June> 2011

The board has met and since there is no support for going to Citrus County Speedway,
we will try a couple of 4 or 5 race series at different venues.
We are currently looking for these venues but asphalt tracks are getting farther away and fewer in number.
TriCity Kart Club has not gone anywhere!!! We are re-tooling to race.
This hasn't been easy with the economy, the rumors and the other problems we have had to endure in the past.
We are trying our best to keep this club alive and racing.
In the mean time East Bay races on Friday nights, Auburndale is Saturday morning, you also have Orlando, Ocala and Dirt Devil, etc.
Orlando and Ocala are paved facilities.
TriCity Kart Club is actively working on putting together a race series with a twist.
We need your help in determining which way we want to move for the first race.
A large money race, maybe an endurance race from 2 to 6 hours also what tracks you most favor.
These are some of the ideas we are thinking about, please give us your feedback.

We want to Thank You for your support and we will let you know about the TCKC program as soon as possible.

November looks to be real strong and a good time will be had by all.
Come on out and turn those wheels.

                                                              9/2010

Opening day of the 2010-2011 race season is now in the books.
Wow!!! what a great day for racing, even a brief shower couldn't slow things down.
We had 2 Cycles, 4 Cycles, Champs and Clones.
The Clones put on a fantastic show and was enjoyed by all.

Blow the dust off those Karts and make the trip to Citrus, you won't be disappointed.
What a great track, power in the pits and clean bathrooms.

Contact Terry Scampton for details and info.

                                                           7/2010

Citrus County Speedway - Race Day  "Need To Knows"

"Consessions" will "Not" be open for our events at this time..
We will be working on getting our own consessions going
but in the mean time you must >
Bring Your Own Food and Beverages
 //////////////////////
At this time we will "Not" have Vendor Trackside Support..
We will do our best to build an inventory of
Basic Emergency Repair Items and Fuel.
Most of you already have what you need so this shouldn't be a problem.
///////////////////////
Please keep in mind that we are a club and will be going back to our roots of having club members volunteer for race day duties.
It will now be manditory that all members volunteer for no less than two race days a year for various duties, Corner workers, Gate help and more.
You can still race and manage your task, we will gladly work with you.
///////////////////////
So far this looks to be a great venue for us to continue the sport we all love.
We ask for your continued support and tell your friends and get them back out racing with us.

It's the same distance from
Tampa to Citrus County Speedway
as
Tampa to Desoto Speedway
The Time Is The Same

We Appreciate Your Support,
The Board

we know your equipment is valuable.
Please be patient as we secure new race dates and locations.
A rumor is circulating that TriCity Kart Club is going away,
Thats simply not true!!!
We ask for your Continued Support, Patience and Understanding as we update our racing program.

New 2010 TCKC Rule Book:

Starting in 2010 every Master Club Membership will include one copy of the new TriCity Kart Club Rule Book.
Associate Members will not be issued a Rule Book and must refer to their teams master copy.

The hours and efforts of those involved in putting the Rule Book together will certainly be appreciated by all.

Everyone who races with TriCity Kart Club can feel confident that all will be fair and in black and white.
It will be your responsibility to know and understand the contents of the Rule Book and TCKC's responsibility to enforce it.

Thank You........The Board
